Biography
Yifan received his B.S. and M.S. from Jinan University (Guangzhou, China) and studied in Guangdong Province Key Laboratory of Molecular Immunology and Antibody Engineering for 5 years. He was well trained during this period and participated several projects mainly about: (1) Development of mAb-based sandwich ELISA kit for disease diagnosis, (2) Identification of major shellfish allergens and development of desensitizing vaccines, (3) Combinational effects of mAb drug and platinum drug on NSCLC in vitro and in vivo. Several papers were published and two patents were authorized. Now, Yifan is a Ph.D. candidate in IU school of medicine with great interests on chr17p loss in cancer and cancer immunotherapy. He is trying to incorporate computational methods to his bench work research, and he is developing a T cell-based CRISPR library screening to uncover genetic defects which may affect T cell activities in triple negative breast cancer and colorectal cancer.
